I was born in 1986 İzmir, Turkey. After graduating from Bornova Anatolian High School in 1997, I moved to Istanbul to study Metallurgy & Materials Engineering in Yıldız Technical University. During this period I continued to shoot photos with my Zenit 122.
While studying, I started to work as an English translator and writer for Maxim Magazine Turkey Edition in 2009 where I became the Feature’s & Photography Editor after some time. In 2010, I started to work for the international future tech and gadget magazine, Stuff. And during that period I worked also on a video project, Long Way From Home Istanbul Acoustic Sessions by Levent Sevi & Gun Erdogdu, which aims to capture the feeling of -mostly- foreign music in Istanbul. After one year, in 2011, I started to work for Turkey’s one of the leading E-Com company, Markafoni.com as a full time photographer.
In 2013, I became a freelance photographer and worked with the clients and organisations such as: Mavi Jeans, Sportive Sports Wear, Acar Group, Design Atelier Kadıkoy (TAK), Public Magazine and Bosca Fashion Group. I shot national covers of the Stuff Magazine for March, May and June 2014 issues. In October 2015, I moved to Sweden and worked as a volunteer photographer in Stockholm Film Festival 2015.
